Baloo's 2nd day home

He was lethargic and clingy for almost 3 weeks adjusting to his new home. He really had no interest in playing but wanted to make baby noises as you can hear in the video and snuggle to feel comforted. Here he is snuggling up to my other half, Fred. Later I learned that being exposed to such a new environment and the process of adjusting can be very tiring so that is why newcomers sleep alot. They also go back to their baby ways to feel more comfortable and try to get coddled. Going from a big family of many other Caiques to just two flesh people and a fur dog is a big leap! My poor stressed baby!

Hair surfing

Caiques love to "surf" on clothing and hair. Supposedly this is how they bathe in nature against wet jungle foliage. Whenever he does this we get big fat tangles in our hair and he piggy squeels everytime we try to take him off! :)

itchy n scratchy

Fred was lovin the luvin!

Die Ball Die!

Baloo takes matters into his own hands when a kitty toy invades his travel cage :)
